About Lydinge Resort

Lydinge Resort is one of Skåne's premier destinations for a complete golf, hotel and relaxation experience. Located just outside Helsingborg, the resort offers a top-class golf course, modern hotel accommodation and a popular relaxation area - all packaged with a family and personalised service.

The Challenge

Although Lydinge Resort offered a world-class physical experience, there was a disconnect in the digital business. The challenge was to unlock the potential of direct bookings and reduce dependence on external booking channels.

They needed a strategy to aggressively scale up the volume of online bookings, but faced a classic dilemma: How to greatly increase the advertising budget and volume without decreasing profitability (ROAS)? In addition, a solution was needed to manage the complex customer journey where guests often move between different devices before booking.

The Solution

We replaced 'gut feeling' with rigorous data-driven infrastructure and creative precision.

  • Server-Side Tracking: To ensure data quality in a world without third-party cookies, we implemented advanced server-side tracking. This gave us a complete picture of the customer journey and allowed us to feed the ad platforms with accurate data for optimisation.

  • Profit-First Structure: We restructured the ad accounts on both Google and Meta from the ground up. The focus shifted from "traffic" to "profitability", directing bidding towards searches and audiences with the highest purchase intent.

  • Creative A/B testing: Through systematic image and copy testing, we identified which messages resonated best with each target audience (golfers vs. spa guests), drastically increasing the relevance of the ads.

The Impact

The collaboration resulted in a record-breaking season. By relying on the data, we were able to scale advertising to levels previously thought impossible, without losing effectiveness.

Compared to the previous season, we increased revenue via Google Ads by almost 3,000%. However, the most remarkable thing was not the volume, but the efficiency: we managed to increase ROAS (Return on Ad Spend) by 16% while scaling up. This proves that with the right technical foundation and strategy, it is possible to grow quickly and profitably at the same time.
